A Winter Wedding at Auberge du Pommier

Jihee and David had the most wonderful afternoon winter wedding at Auberge du Pommier.  Jihee is a visual artist, so she made this special day as personal as possible with plenty of DIY wedding projects.

The consistent theme of a tree was carried throughout every detail including their invitations, place cards, venue, the menus, a donation on behalf of the guests to a plant organization, and even the guest book.  The guest book  is a painting created by Jihee herself of a beautiful bare tree. All their guests left a green finger print on the painting so that the all imprints brought this previously leafless tree to life.  Instead of cutting a cake after lunch, Jihee and David planted a tree as a symbol of their new life together.

Jihee even hand made the mini cake stands and the macaroons….. mmmmm! The carved ducks which held their wedding rings and then later sat face to face on the head table are a traditional Korean symbol for a prosperous loving life together. While Jihee walked down the aisle her friends played a lovely melody that David had composed for her birthday… so sweet!

Thanks you so much Jihee and David we had a fantastic time and wish you all the happiness in the world…xo

Love Nancy and Tyler
