Jade and Steve met when they were in university and have been together for over 9 years so they know each other pretty well. They’ve travelled the world, trying all kinds of food so all the memories that they enjoyed as a couple created a wedding that was unique and stayed true to who they were. This meant that planning their wedding was a collection of their life experiences together.

The idea for their wedding was inspired by what a ’50s-era cocktail party in Los Angeles would be like. They chose ivory, silver and tropical green as their colour palette and wanted their day to be full of tropical leaves (and huge monstera leaves at that!), old fashioned cocktails and beautiful jazz and samba music. Because they loved the city, they looked for an urban space that showed off the heart of Toronto. Malaparte’s rooftop terrace was the perfect venue because it fit the overall feel of the wedding. The vibrant green plants pops against the white backdrop and cityscape, bringing nature and city together.

More importantly, they wanted their wedding photos to be full of real emotion, to show the moment as it happened, which is exactly what we strive to do. There was laughter, tears, hugs and kisses and we made sure to capture it all.

It was truly special to be part of Jade and Steve’s celebration. We’re incredibly grateful that they chose us to be their photographers and we wish them all the happiness and love in the next phase of their lives together.
