Mixing chic and urban at this 99 Sudbury wedding will leave you speechless…
Jayme and Kyle are one of the nicest couples I’ve ever worked with and I just loved their wedding day. These two put a smile on my face whenever they visit the studio and they’ve won our team’s hearts with their friendly attitude, contagious laughter and great personalities.
When I asked Jayme why they chose us to photograph their wedding, she told me she loved our organic effortless style and she envisioned their wedding photos to be fun, candid with a light editorial touch. She also told me they were camera shy, but looking at how natural they were in front of the camera on their wedding day, I think they lied ;). It’s funny how many of our couples confess that their bride and groom portrait session on their Big Day is the most fun they’ve had in awhile! I believe it all comes down to how comfortable you feel being around your photographer and it starts with building a relationship from the get-go. I encourage all of you to dedicate some time to get to know the person behind the camera during your engagement session. It will end up being the best investment leading up to your Big Day.
We started their portrait session around the Liberty Village, not too far away from their wedding venue. I have always loved the aesthetics of this industrial part of the city and I was super excited to show Jayme and Kyle my favorite photography spots. There’s something romantic about this industrial area and I love how photogenic the brick walls are. I’m so glad we spent some time taking photos in front of the Carpet Factory Building. Its ivy wall played very well with the green and white color scheme of their wedding decor, ultimately tying their wedding aesthetics and photos together.
If you’ve attended a modern and elegant event in the city, the chances are it was likely planned by the amazing Melissa Baum and her talented team of event planners. Jayme and Kyle’s 99 Sudbury wedding, shared that same sleek timeless and cool aesthetics that Melissa Baum’s events are known for. I instantly fell in love with the graphic, black and white decor elements and sleek floral arrangements. The long rows of white candles and all-white flowers complemented the venue’s industrial vibe. I also loved the dance floor decal that echoed the decor’s color scheme.
With the live entertainment, heartfelt speeches and crazy fun hora, there was no slowing down at this wedding – even when the night was coming to an end. I just want to say a huge thank you to Jayme and Kyle for inviting me to your special day. I wish you all the best in your adventure as a married couple!
