We have been fortunate to work with one amazing couple after another and Kimberly and Devin are no exception. They are both dazzling in their own right, each with a great sense of humour, a contagious laugh and an impeccable style. In fact, you may remember them from their romantic engagement session I posted this summer. By combining their unique taste and fun-loving personalities, Kimberly and Devin hosted a larger-than-life, unforgettable wedding celebration that will be remembered for years to come!
After a beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick’s Church we headed to the the stunning Aga Khan Museum to take some ultra modern wedding photos. I loved our transition from the majestic Roman Catholic Church, to the splendid modern architecture of the Aga Khan. This made for a striking contrast in Kimberly and Devin’s photos. Similar to their engagement photos, we moved from the very romantic Osgoode Hall to the mid-century City Hall. This change in setting and style really inspired me to think outside the box. As a photographer, discovering new locations stirs up the explorer in me bringing exciting energy that transfers to my couple. The curiosity and excitement encourages me to come up with some strikingly beautiful editorial wedding portraits.
As we wrapped our creative session and started driving to their wedding reception, Kimberly was really excited to see her wedding decor. Each York Mills Gallery wedding is different due to the venue’s unique setup. The 25,000 sq-foot industrial loft is surrounded by brick and beam ceilings that act as a blank canvas to setup the reception of your dreams. I always look forward to seeing what my couples have done with their York Mills Gallery wedding venue.
Knowing that there were some wedding industry heavyweights such as the talented Tanya of Rebecca Chan Weddings, as well as Rachel A. Clingen from Rachel A. Clingen Wedding & Event Design left me knowing it was going to be a beautiful wedding. My jaw literally dropped when I arrived.
On what was a beautiful mid-August day, guests were welcomed into the most amazing space. A plethora of glimmering candles, towering lush trees, millions of white roses and greenery hanging from the ceiling – it looked ABSOLUTELY fantastic. York Mills Gallery was transformed into a magical forest, and it couldn’t be more spectacular! I love seeing my couples vision come to life. This results in spectacular images thanks to all the hard work of the vendors.
