VA VA VOOM! Leah and Marco’s stunning King Edward Hotel wedding is the one for books. Airy, elegant, sophisticated and refined, it’s the epitome of a timeless style.

As a wedding photographer, I feel like a child in a candy store when all of the wedding day elements come together in an organic and effortless way. It’s every wedding photographers dream! Everything, starting with the King Edward Hotel wedding reception space, the stunning Crystal Ballroom with soaring ceilings and beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows, to delicate flower arrangements and elegant details speaks to Leah and Marco’s impeccable style.

It was so lovely to get to know the couple and spend the day together. Leah and Marco are such genuinely nice and happy people. Coming from two different backgrounds, they placed a big importance on their family and friends during the wedding day and they wanted their photos to reflect the warmth of the relationships they had. It was imperative to me to capture the genuine laughs, their lovely smiles and their candid, sincere interactions with the people they loved.

We started their creative photos at the University of Toronto, one of the most picturesque wedding photo locations in Toronto. I wanted to make use of the minimalist and elegant backdrops that U of T has to offer so that Leah and Marco’s portraits could take the center stage. I wanted their wedding photos to be effortless, fresh and light just like their entire day. That is why I kept their photo session candid, dynamic and intimate. There is a lot of movement and spontaneous moments of laughter that I absolutely adore! Leah radiated happiness as Marco tenderly held her in his arms and photographing them was the absolute pleasure. What else can a wedding photographer wish for?

One of the most memorable moments? Leah and Marco had a big, lively bridal party of 18 people with mismatched numbers of bridesmaids and groomsmen. I suggested that we arrange them in a “Vanity Fair” styled poses to make their wedding party photos look balanced, fun and organic. Leah and Marco were all in and I am super excited about how the photos turned out. They are everything I had imagined. Playful, elegant and lighthearted!

When Leah and Marco mentioned they booked the newly renovated Crystal Ballroom for their wedding reception I had no doubts that it was going to be nothing short of amazing. You can imagine my heart eyes when I stepped into this gorgeous space on their wedding day. The talented team at Blush and Bowties, who planned this gorgeous wedding, did a fantastic job making sure all of the wedding details look seamless and organic together. The white and gold table setting details echoed the Crystal Ballroom chandeliers and gold detailing on the windows. The delicate flower arrangements by Joey Butta of White Oak were inspired by Provence gardens and added a touch of playfulness to the wedding decor. I especially loved the family-style table setting that further emphasized the feeling of the family union at this stunning King Edward Hotel wedding. After all, this is what weddings are all about right? Sharing your love and joy with the ones you care for the most.

Thank you, Leah and Marco for making us a part of your day! We’d like to wish you all the happiness in your married life together, forever and ever!
