When your family owns the perfect place to get hitched like this jaw-dropping countryside property, having a Quarry Hill Farm wedding is a total no-brainer.

Our beautiful bride Christy and her dashing groom Michael first met when Christy was just graduating from high school. Fate brought them back together when she moved home after university, and the rest is history! Michael popped the question over breathtaking views while the two love-birds were travelling in Italy, where his family is originally from.

From their engagement to their wedding, Christy and Michael felt that family would be an important piece of their story. After many weekend trips to the Quarry Hill Farm with relatives, the pair knew it was the only place they could imagine being married. And the family ties don’t stop there! A family member of Christy’s had the honour to officiate their fresh and airy outdoor wedding ceremony. What more could you possibly ask for? I’m only slightly jealous… okay, maybe a lot jealous. That’s just how perfect it was.

Adding to the perfection of the day was the moment of Christy and Michael’s first look. The placement of the moment under the lushest on-site greenery arch was just jaw-dropping. Almost as jaw-dropping as Christy being a complete 10/10 in her Mark Zunino dress from Kleinfeld Bridal. Their Quarry Hill Farm wedding was a balance of both estate glamour and earthy simplicity. Thanks to the creative teams at Fabulous Occasions and D&D Floral, the outdoor ceremony and tented reception were elegant and on-trend without being too trendy. The best of both worlds! There’s nothing more effortlessly beautiful than a walk down a grassy aisle to your soulmate. Or the beacon of positive and hopeful light illuminating the night as your families come together to celebrate you and your new spouse.

When meeting with Michael and Christy before their wedding, we knew we were a match made in heaven (just like them!). Christy said to us “We loved the candid nature of photos that we have seen done by Mango Studios. Posing for photos can get exhausting and ultimately we think the photos turn out better when they are candid, capturing moments as they happen”. We agree, Christy! The best way to capture their Quarry Hill Farm wedding was to capture as many candid moments as possible. A key to candid wedding photography is making sure the couple is not only comfortable with themselves and the photographer, but also with their surroundings. We knew that this wouldn’t be an issue with Christy and Michael. They chose to have a Quarry Hill Farm wedding due to being so familiar with space, both inside and out. Photographing their wedding felt like documenting the memories that Christy and Michael and their family had had at the farm for years. That was so special for us. The venue was an amazing gift in regards to photography. This was due to its abundance of natural light outdoors, and bright white interiors. We had many back-up plans for their first-look and bride/groom portraits if the weather were to not cooperate. In the end, we lucked out and had the most beautiful day for both the wedding and the photography!

Christy and Michael’s wedding was an amazing celebration of family, both the old and new. Being there to see how much they love one another and their family members were so memorable. It really made me want to call up my relatives and let them know how much I love them! It was such a joy to be able to document this important occasion for Christy, Michael, and their families. We wish them all the best in this new, exciting season of life, and the beginning of their own little family.
