One of the bridal shower themes of this summer is a relaxed, garden-inspired shower.
One of the oh-so-wonderful perks about the wedding planning process is getting to spend some quality time with your besties starting with your bridal shower. One of the best ways to celebrate your upcoming nuptials is with amazing food — and by documenting all the special memories with lots of pictures! I am noticing that more and more brides-to-be opt for hip local restaurants as opposed to having a more traditional bridal shower at the family home. Luckily for Toronto brides-to-be, the city boasts many restaurants that are not only delicious but extremely photogenic to boot, and this bridal shower at Cluny Bistro is no exception.
Our team had pleasure to photograph Leah’s summery bridal shower at Cluny Bistro a few weeks ago, and it was a lot of fun! I loved how Leah incorporated her favourite field flowers throughout the venue lending for a relaxed, summer feel. You could also spot scattered citrus and bosc pears in between the flower pots making you feel like you were attending a sunny picnic rather than a formal event. I really loved photographing the colour combination of fruits and flowers and the way they complimented each other instead of competing for attention. The china, pretty field blooms and fruits – all harmoniously arranged together in a colourful still life!
I love it when my clients invite me to photograph their bridal showers and other pre-wedding celebrations as they are a great opportunity to get to know them better. Whether it’s the bridesmaids at the bridal shower or close family and friends at a rehearsal dinner, I use every occasion to get to know you and your family and take some beautiful pictures.
It goes without saying that the more you hang out with your photographer, the more relaxed you’re going to feel during your wedding day photos.
You will experience first hand how it feels being in front of a camera and get to see the photographer’s work in action! You will also receive your edited photos from all the pre-wedding parties and get a sense of how your wedding coverage is going to look. It’s a big win!
At last, another great reason why it’s important to have your wedding photographer take pictures at your pre-wedding events is that you will have an opportunity to learn a thing a two about yourself.. What are your best angles? Do you have a favourite side? All these little things will point out the way to take flawless wedding portraits on your big day.
