This couple was a knock out on their Four Seasons Hotel wedding day! What all started in a small bar in Rio Janeiro, turned into a romance like no other. Through language barriers and long distances these two came together against all odds to celebrate their day amongst their close friends and family at the Four Seasons Hotel. “We wanted our wedding to be a declaration of our love and commitment to each other – a love that transcends language, culture and gender. We also wanted our day to showcase our unique brand of love, that is at once heartfelt and passionate, but is also playful and fiery.” What can I say? This is love, folks.

Our day with David and Geanderson started with their reveal before the wedding ceremony and it was full of emotion as they were joined by their groomsmen and parents. After that we flowed into a creative session which captured the cityscape of Toronto, David’s hometown! There’s something romantic and timeless about downtown wedding photos, and I was super pumped to walk the streets of Toronto with this fun-loving couple. Their handsome crew joined us as well, and the creative pictures quickly turned into a full-blown GQ editorial. Just saying.

Why are there only black and white images in this blog post you ask? Well, my couples always tell me how they love the bright and airy style of Mango Studios. My response to them is: “Truly, all I’m trying to do is to make sure your photos stand the test of time.” That is why I’m always giving them all of their photos in black and white as well. I believe there’s nothing so charmingly classy as a great black and white photo. When I first saw David and Geanderson on their wedding day, this thought instantly ran through my head: “These guys will kill it in black and white photos!” There’s something so timeless about well-fit suits and an epic, cityscape background that just kills in black and white.

After they exchanged vows, the grooms and their guests kicked it into party mode dancing the night away surrounded by the classy silver linens, elaborate flower arrangements and of course a romantic dose of candles! Their event planner, Ashley Pigott, kept the couple’s fun loving spirit in mind when coordinating flower arrangements from Stemz that spoke to the classy and luxurious feel of the evening. Here are a few highlights from David and Granderson’s wedding day that made it extra personal to them:

  1. First Reveal

David and Geanderson wanted to make their first look special by giving each other notes to read that they had exchanged before seeing each other fully dressed for the wedding day. Adding that little touch made our hearts melt!

  1. Creative Session

The creative session for this couple really focused on highlighting the personalities of each groom as well as their groomsmen while wandering the streets of Toronto. We thought this would be a great way to capture this adventuresome duo.

  1. Reception Set Up

No head table for this couple! David and Geanderson opted for a less traditional approach when setting up their reception, adding a bar and band as a main focus for their friends and family to enjoy – all night long. “Ge and I wanted to give back to the people who supported us, had faith in our relationship and who were our biggest fans and cheerleaders.”

  1. Confetti

Nothing ends the night like confetti raining down from the ceiling! This couple surprised guests with late night confetti fireworks for their last hurrah to close the party.

This classic Four Seasons Hotel wedding was one to remember. David and Geanderson, I wish you both long years of happiness and many fun filled memories. It was such an honour to be a part of your day! Anytime real love manifests itself in two people, we are honored to be the ones chosen to show the world what that looks like #LoveWins
