Look up the word “romance” in the dictionary and these Vizcaya Museum and Gardens wedding photos are what you’ll see.
Katie and Vijay are one of the softest, kindest souls I’ve met and yes, after long years of dating they still act like they are on the first date with each other. It’s adorable how cute they are! I met up with them a few days before their wedding to take their engagement photos and I instantly fell in love. You know how you can immediately connect with some people? These two were so easy-going and fun, I loved getting to know them and their story while taking their engagement photos. When the wedding day arrived, we both couldn’t wait to start taking photos at the Vizcaya Museum as we already knew it’s going to be a fun and worry-free experience.
I have a special place in my heart for Vizcaya Museum and Gardens weddings and I suggest all my couples spending extra time for their creative photos to document their love story there. When they are 65, how sweet will it be to show their grandchildren beautiful photographs of times long past but memories they hold so dear. Vizcaya provided a beautiful and timeless background and I was able to capture these two exploring the museum gardens in all their newlywed glory.
We started their photos with their First Look, and I love it when my couples opt for it. I believe that seeing each other before the ceremony does not take away from the thrill of the moment when you walk down the aisle. On the contrary, it only adds excitement and provides an additional opportunity to take emotionally reach photos. I especially loved the moment Katie hugged Vijay the moment he turned to see her with her eyes filling with tears of joy. It gives me chills to this day!
We timed the rest of our creative photos around sunset and I think it’s the best time to take wedding photos in Miami! The soft, beautifully glowing light filled the frame infusing Katie and Vijay wedding pictures with that magical feel. Their wedding photos are soft and light, just like the couple themselves.
You know how some people are just natural trendsetters? This gorgeous bride is one of them. There was a certain effortless chic style about the wedding mixed with formality yet laid back fun vibe. From a simple, yet tasteful ceremony setup to the long family-style tables at the wedding reception down to the white and red ombre cake served on Tuscan style plates.
The clear top tent was lined with loose greenery and crystal bronze chandeliers giving the entire night a very elevated, yet cozy feel. During the second part of the night, Katie changed into her modern sleek-silhouette wedding dress and the dance performers filled the reception with colorful feathers. The lower terrace was decorated with white cabana furnishing that allowed guests to enjoy a starry night while taking in the magnificent ocean views.
Katie and Vijay, it was an absolute pleasure to spend a few days with you in Miami! I’d like to wish you many years of happy marriage and love.
