Q: Do you travel to my wedding destination?

Yes!

Q: But, how do you know where my wedding is?

We travel EVERYWHERE! We have photographers located in Toronto, Vancouver, Miami and Mexico and are available worldwide. We love travelling and would take any chance to visit as many countries as possible.

Q: What are the costs?

At Mango, we understand that each wedding is unique. Because of this, we don’t believe in a one size fits all mindset. We create custom destination packages that include all of our wedding photography services. Developing the right package for you depends on the needs of your wedding day.

When it comes to your destination wedding, you’re getting the same photography package you would get if you had your wedding locally. It covers photography time, albums and any prints you’d like to have after your wedding. Everything else such as travel expenses, flights, accommodations, meals, and transportation are additional. This way you have more control over your costs, and you have a chance to find the best deals to get your photographer to the destination. Also, with everything figured out ahead of time, there are no surprise costs afterwards.

Q: How many hours should I book?

When it comes to destination weddings, there are often events that happen before and after the wedding. Did you think about having your photographer cover these events? When you meet with your destination wedding photographer, let them know about the welcome dinner or pool party you are having for your guests – these events always deliver super fun memories and candids you will be happy were captured. Aside from those pre-wedding events, it’s also a great idea to schedule in some time for your engagement photos abroad. Usually, we recommend having a mini engagement session a day before your wedding. It’s a great way to get to know your photographer a little bit more and scout some breathtaking locations for your wedding day pictures. It’s a win-win situation!

Q: How many days should you book your photographer for?

Your wedding day happens ONCE. So, it’s a no brainer – you want to make sure your wedding photographer is there for your wedding day. However, we always recommend considering bringing your photographer out a couple of days before the wedding. Things like cancellations due to bad weather and jetlag are real. If you want your photog to be on their A+ game, it’s best to eliminate any variables that may prevent this. We also suggest having your photographer scout out the locations before the big day. If your photographer can visit the wedding location beforehand, take the opportunity to meet them in person if you haven’t already done so.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your entire life! We believe having the right photographer there with you can’t be overlooked. With all of our experience in the wedding business, we are a wealth of knowledge. Let us know about what you are planning for your destination wedding; we would love to help you in your search for the right destination wedding photographer 😉
