Great event photography is all about capturing the essence of your event, whether it’s for business, charity or a family celebration. It’s all about documenting and conveying what it’s like to be there.
From setting the scene to photographing the key speakers and smallest details, the opportunities to tell a visually compelling story of your event is endless.
The Mango team documented the launch of PSR Brokerage much-anticipated The One Residences. Industry insiders and architectural enthusiasts lined up outside of Roy Thomson Hall, eagerly awaiting a sneak peek of Canada’s soon-to-be tallest building. The One is located in the heart of Yorkville at 1 Bloor Street West (at a whopping 85 storeys!). Developed by Sam Mizrahi and designed by London Based Foster and Partners, the One is scheduled to be complete in 2020.
During the keynote presentation, I wanted the photos to feel powerful and capitalize on the grandness of the Roy Thomson Hall stage which echoed the epicness of the launch. The presentation was the must-see attraction at this event and we captured some amazing photos. In true Mango fashion, we also wanted to make sure to pay attention to the smallest details to communicate the overall atmosphere and really get a sense of the event. In this case, people snapping iPhone pics of the sought after floorplans, groups of attendees huddling together to discuss the features of the building and all the in-between moments that capture the atmosphere of this exciting launch. This event was super exciting to be a part of – you could totally feel the buzz in the air!
